RESOURCES FOR ARIZONA’S GOODWIN FIRE

Arizona Governor Ducey has declared a State of Emergency for Yavapai County after the Goodwin fire has grown to 21,000 acres and now has roughly 1,000 firefighter personnel responding to the fire. I am grateful to the firefighters and emergency responders working around-the-clock to provide Arizona residents with support, and urge those impacted to utilize the resources at your disposal to stay safe:
Mandatory evacuation have been issued for:
- Mandatory Walker
- Potato Patch
- Mt. Union
- Upper Blue Hills
- All of Mayer
- The area west of Highway 69, from Mayer to Poland Junction
- Poland Junction
- Chaparral Hills
- Breezy Pines
- The evacuation remains in place for Pine Flat
Pre-evacuations have been ordered for:
- Dewey-Humboldt, including Prescott Country Club
- Orme School
- Lower Blue Hills
- Mt. Union and Mountain Pine Acres
Shelters for those displaced by the fire:
- Bradshaw Mountain High School: 6000 E Long Look Drive in Prescott Valley off of Glassford Hill Rd.
How to Help:
- The Salvation Army is providing food and resources to Bradshaw Mountain High School and are welcoming bulk snacks donations at 237 S. Montezuma Street in Prescott.
- You can also drop your donations off at the Calvary Chapel of Prescott at 2313 E. State Route 69 in Prescott.
- The Findlay Auto Group in Prescott is offering to supply firefighters with bottled water and food items donated by the community. Participants can drop off donations at the Findlay Toyota Prescott dealership in 3200 Willow Creek Road in Prescott and a member of their team will drop them off at the U.S. Forest Service headquarters and local fire departments.
