STATEMENT BY SENATOR JOHN McCAIN ON THE PASSING OF ARIZONA FIREFIGHTER ANTHONY POLK

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) today issued the following statement on the passing of Bureau of Indian Affairs and Arizona firefighter Anthony Polk, who died while battling the Montezuma Fire in southern Arizona:
“I am saddened by the loss of Yuma firefighter Anthony Polk. With honor and distinction, Mr. Polk braved multiple wildfire seasons throughout Arizona. He will be remembered as a hero who gave his life in the line of duty to defend the lives of others.”
